A Mother’s Touch Starts With Love
Hello, my name is Krystal Lafears, and I am the owner of A Mother’s Touch Learning Development Center.
I am originally from Alexandria, Louisiana, where I attended Grambling State University and majored in Early Childhood Education. My passion for childcare began through both my education and my experiences working in multiple childcare centers.
Growing up, I watched my grandmother serve her community as a childcare provider for more than 30 years. Watching her care for children and families showed me the importance of creating a strong, loving foundation for every child. Her example helped shape my passion for early childhood education and inspired me to build a childcare environment centered around love, learning, and community.
In 2020, I took a leap of faith and started my own childcare business in Louisiana. The experience was incredibly rewarding and confirmed that childcare was not simply a career for me—it was my calling.
When my family moved back to Arkansas in 2021, I knew I wanted to continue serving children and families in my community. That led me to becoming a Licensed Family Home Childcare Provider in Centerton, Arkansas, and eventually to the development of A Mother’s Touch Learning Development Center.
Today, our mission is to create and maintain a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment for all children and families, while helping children develop the social, emotional, educational, and interpersonal skills they need to grow with confidence.

Quality Childcare With a Mother’s Touch
A Mother’s Touch Learning Development Center provides childcare services designed to support children’s development while giving families peace of mind.
Infant Care
Our infant care program provides loving, attentive care in a safe and nurturing environment. We focus on each child’s individual needs while encouraging early development through age-appropriate interactions and activities.
Toddler Program
Our toddler program encourages exploration, independence, communication, and social development. Children are provided with age-appropriate experiences that allow them to learn through play and discovery.
Preschool Learning
Our preschool program combines learning and play to help prepare children for their next educational chapter. We encourage early academic development while supporting social, emotional, and communication skills.
Daily Activities
Children participate in engaging, age-appropriate daily activities designed to encourage creativity, movement, exploration, social interaction, and learning.
